The Mental Health Skill-Building program is for adolescents and adults diagnosed with mental, behavioral or emotional illnesses that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities.  Training is in basic living skills such as symptom management; adherence to psychiatric and medication treatment plans; development and appropriate use of social skills and personal support system; personal hygiene; food preparation; and money management.  Interventions such as individual sessions with the assigned Mental Health Specialist are offered to address deficits in skills that are preventing the individual from functioning independently in society.  Mental Health Skill-Building strengthens communication, interactions and other important skills that enable our clients to achieve greater independence.
